The Marion County Health Department is reporting nine COVID-19 related deaths.
The deaths include five deaths from residents of three different long-term care facilities. They include males in their 30s and 80s, and females in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. Three had been transferred to hospitals prior to their death and the 30-year-old was allowed to return home.
The other four deaths had lived at home before being admitted to the hospital. They are two males in their 70s and a male in his 80s and a female in her 70s.
Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow reports the county has now had 60 COVID-19 related deaths.
