Lotteries were held Tuesday at both Salem and Centralia City Hall to determine the position of candidates on the ballot who were in line the first day of filing.
In Salem, Brock Waggoner drew the number one ballot position for Mayor. Councilman Nic Farley drew the number two position.
Two of the Salem City Council candidates were in a lottery for the top ballot position. Neal Canon drew number one and Jim Koehler number two. The three other candidates who filed for the two open seats will appear in the order they filed. Royce Bringwald third, Jacob Hockett fourth, and Seth Dawson fifth.
In Centralia, three city council candidates were in a lottery for the top ballot position. The lottery determined Robert Rob Jackson would be number one, Jason Hunter number two, and Jeffrey Castellari third. Two others who filed petitions later, Isreal Fontanez Junior and Bradley Kent Jones will fill out the ballot.
Bryan Kuder was the only Centralia Mayoral candidate who was on hand to file at the opening of the filing period. Appointed Mayor Herb Williams filed later the first day and will be second on the ballot.
