Three people have been charged in Marion County Court in the aftermath of a pickup truck theft in Kinmundy last Wednesday.
21-year-old Donald Fairchild of West Warmoth Street in Salem has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. 21-year-old Kaylee Hanks of North Shelby in Salem and 18-year-old Alexis Fairchild on West Warmoth in Salem have both been arrested for unlawful possession of a debit or credit card. The card had allegedly been taken from the pickup truck.
The three were arrested over the long holiday weekend by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. The arrest followed the recovery of the pickup truck in the 1200 block of South Marion Street on Thursday. No one was around the truck when it was found.
After learning the credit card taken from the truck had been used in the Salem area, the sheriff’s department obtained video from some of those locations and identified Hank and Alexis Fairchild as the users.
The sheriff’s department then obtained a search warrant Monday morning to determine if some DNA materials found in the truck matched Donald Fairchild.
