The Illinois Department of Public Health on Saturday announced 7,873 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 108 COVID related deaths.
There were no deaths reported in South Central Illinois. There were eight deaths reported in Madison County and one n St. Clair County in the Metro-East and one death in Williamson County in deep Southern Illinois.
The State’s positivity rate for the past seven days is now 10.1-percent. The Southern Illinois region’s positivity rate for the week ending November 25th is 12.3-percent. The Marion County rate fell 1.1-percent to 13.4-percent. The Metro East Region saw a half-percent increase to 14.2-percent. The East Central Illinois Region positivity rate is now at 11.9-percent.
