Sue Queen, 81, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.

Sue worked at Dobb’s Bargain City for many years and she also worked as the City Clerk for the Village of Central City until her retirement. She enjoyed painting, gardening, and was an amazing cook. Sue loved watching birds and was an animal activist. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

A Private Family Graveside Service for Sue Queen will be held at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Central City at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Queen Family. She was born April 4, 1939, in Centralia, the daughter of Joseph H. Dailey and Norma Jean (Knight) Dailey. Sue married Howard “Buster” Queen on June 28, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2011.

Sue is survived by her son, Korey Queen and wife Hilari of Centralia, three grandchildren: Brian Queen, Kristen Queen, and Ryan McGuire, and Katie Queen all of Centralia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons: Kevin Mark Queen and Kenneth Brian Queen.
