The Illini open their 116th season of men’s basketball this afternoon. They will take on North Carolina A@T at the State Farm Center in Champaign.
The Illini enter the season ranked number eight n the country and are 36-2 all-time against North Carolina A@T.
The game is part of a round-robin format that also features Chicago State and Ohio, each playing three games in three days.
