Both Salem and Centralia City Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving Holiday. There will be no trash collection in either city on Thursday. Thursday pickup will now be on Friday in both cities and the Friday pickup in Centralia will be on Saturday. The City of Salem is moving up the landscape waste collection from Thursday to Wednesday. The leaf vacuums in Salem will attempt to collect leaves throughout the city on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, before taking Thursday and Friday off for the holidays.
Area courthouses will be closed on both Thursday and Friday. There will be no home mail delivery on Thursday, but there will be delivery on Friday and Saturday. Financial institutions will also be closed Thursday, but most will be open on Friday.
