Michael Tate, 58, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on November 17, 2020 at his residence. Michael graduated from Kaskaskia College with an Associates degree. He was a member of East Hickory Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Bluford, Illinois. Michael was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
A Visitation will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Dahlgren, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Michael’s honor to the Tate family, in care of Lisa Wilson. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. Michael is survived by his siblings, Brian Tate and significant other, Susan Futrell of Mount Vernon, Lisa Wilson and husband, Michael of Herrin, Illinois, and Cathy Shelton and husband, Alan of Mount Vernon; nieces and nephews, David Wilson, Melissa Wilson, Gregory Shelton, Aaron Shelton, Heather Shelton, Drake Tate and wife, Lexi, and Katie McConnell and husband, Garrick; and great-nieces and nephews, Lukas Shelton, Cody Shelton, Laycie Shelton, Khloe Adams, Jessica Adams, and Chase Tate.
He was born April 10, 1962 in Mount Vernon to the late Noel Evan and Linda (Steward) Tate.
