Randall “Randy” Niles Irwin, 76, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 8:58 pm November 14, 2020, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. Randy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Reserve during the Vietnam Conflict. He later attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, and worked as a real estate developer for many years. Randy obtained his private pilot license, was a car enthusiast, as well as a devoted father and grandfather. He is dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Logan Street Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, November 20, 2020, at 10:30 am at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon with members of the Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 conducting Full Military Honors. Interment will follow. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. A mask is mandatory for anyone attending the visitation or graveside service. Randy is survived by his son, Randall Irwin and fiancée, Jill Youngblood of Mount Vernon and grandson, Matthew Irwin, Jr. of Mount Vernon.

He was born February 15, 1944, in Mount Vernon to the late Harry and Frances (Simmons) Irwin. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Irwin.
