A 23-year-old Salem man has been transferred to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
Initial information from the Marion County Sheriff’s Department indicates Jacob Branton of West Warmoth Street in Salem ran off of Old U.S. 51 at the Colonial Mobile Home Park on the south side of Sandoval and hit a guard rail. There are no details yet on how the crash occurred.
Reports indicate Branton was able to get a ride to a Junction City home after the crash. An ambulance was called there to take Branton to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. He was later transported to a St. Louis Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred at 12:45 Saturday morning.
