The Illinois Department of Public Health has announced another 11,028 new confirmed cases of COVID19 along with 72 additional deaths.

The report includes three deaths in Marion County including a male in his 80s that has not yet been reported locally.   Two deaths of men in their 90s had been released by the Marion County Health Department on Friday.

The deaths also include a male in his 60’s in Clinton County, which brings the weekend number of deaths in the county to four.  Wayne County recorded its second death of the weekend, a man in his 60s.  Effingham County had its third death of the weekend, a female in her 90s.

Hospital rates also continue to increase, with 5,415 hospitalized including 1,018 in ICU and 499 on ventilators.   There were 114,370 tests completed in the 24 hours leading up to the Sunday report.

The Statewide Positivity rate for the past seven days is now at 12.6-percent.  The Marion County positivity rate jumped to 16.6-percent.

The Southern Illinois Region has increased to a 14-percent positivity rate for the seven day period ending on November 12th.  The Southern Illinois Region still has 48-percent of its medical-surgery beds available and 46-percent of its ICU beds.

The Metro East Region positivity rate is now at 15.3-percent.  Med surg bed Availability has dropped to 25-percent with 34-percent of ICU beds available.

The East Central Illinois Region is 13.6-percent.  33-percent of the med surg beds and 30-percent of the ICU beds are available.
