Police Beat for Saturday, November 14th, 2020

Centralia Police have arrested a 27-year-old Centralia man who is believed to have held his girlfriend against her will at his apartment at the Midtown Motel.  Joseph Milligan was arrested on Friday for both unlawful restraint and domestic battery.  Police say Milligan had allegedly boarded up the door and windows on the unit to prevent his girlfriend from leaving.  Police were uncertain how long the woman was held against her will.   Milligan was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges.

Centralia Police arrested 27-year-old Derek Woods of Copple Street in Centralia on multiple charges he was a person of interest plus an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.  He’s being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged arson, theft, theft by deception, and criminal trespass to a building.

Salem Police arrested a 22-year-old Salem man for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of liquor, and unlawful use of a weapon.  James Barcroft of Foxville Road was given a notice to appear in court.
