Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a 31-year-old Vernon man for residential burglary.
Marcus Hicks of Fayette Road is accused of breaking into a home near the Norton and Fairman Road intersection on October 26th.
Sheriff’s officials say change and an iPad were stolen. The GPS on the iPad eventually led deputies to an apartment where Hicks frequented. Other video surveillance also pointed to Hicks. Deputies say he had done work at the residence in the past.
Hicks was taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies on Saturday and remains in jail until a final decision is made on any charges to be brought against him in court on Monday.
