The Illinois Department of Public Health reports another new record for the daily number of COVID-19 cases, beating the record just set Thursday. There were 10,376 new confirmed cases as well as 49 additional deaths.
Six area counties are on this week’s list for warning level over 8-percent. The list includes Marion, Clay, Clinton, Effingham, Washington, and Wayne Counties. 75 of the 102 counties in Illinois are now on the list.
The statewide positivity rate for the past seven days is up to 9.6-percent. The Southern Illinois Region is up another three-tenths of a percent to 10.6-percent. The Metro-East Region remained the same from Thursday at 10.7-percent. The East Central Illinois rate is up to 10.2-percent.
The positivity rates for area counties for the week ending November third include Marion County at 10.7-percent, Clinton County is up to 13.9-percent, Clay County 14.2-percent, Washington County 14.3-percent, Fayette County 10.8-percent, Jefferson County at 8.6-percent, and Wayne County at 5.2-percent.
