As you listen on WJBD or look at results from Marion County on WJBDradio.com please remember that none of the precinct results will include early and mail-in vote results until the very end of the counting process.
County Clerk Steve Fox says that the final download of early and mail-in votes will make a significant difference since 25-percent of those registered to vote cast their ballots that way this election.
Fox feels his projection of 78-percent of the voters going to the polls is still sound and could even go a little higher. He reports only one minor problem at a polling place when a paper ballot counting machine jammed in Omega Township, but it was quickly corrected.
There were lines at a number of polling places when they opened at six Tuesday morning as many apparently wanted to vote before going to work. The lines subsided as the day went on but most polling places kept busy throughout the day.
