2020 11/07 – Nancy S. Wiedle

Nancy S. Wiedle, 83, of Shattuc passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Odin Health Care Center. Mrs. Wiedle was a supportive wife and a proud mother of her adored daughters. She always worked diligently to provide a comfortable home for her family. Nancy was a faithful volunteer for the Home Extension at Shattuc Church where she would offer her time to those that could not make it to church. She enjoyed a good game of bowling and loved to hear the sound of the pins falling when she bowled a strike. She liked the challenge of a good puzzle and looked forward to the satisfaction of its completion. Nancy was passionate about her grandchildren and loved to be involved in their lives in anyway she could, offering them unconditional love and guidance. She will never be forgotten as her memory will continue in the hearts of her loved ones.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Nancy Wiedle with arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Eastlawn Cemetery in Salem with John Willis officiating, where those in attendance will be asked to use social distancing protocol. Memorials may be made in Nancy’s honor to the Odin Health Care Center or the National Alzheimer’s Association. Along with her beloved husband of 57 years, Carl Wiedle, survivors include her devoted children, Diane Cole and husband Dan of Centralia, and April Schulte of New Baden; cherished grandchildren, Tyson Cole of St. Louis, and Rachel Schulte of New Baden; caring siblings, Fred Wiedle and wife Lynette of Shatuc, Judith Trader of Kinmundy, Catherine Ballagh of Carlyle, Allison Wiedle of St. Louis, Marilyn Nordike of Hoffman, and Barb Johnson and husband Robert of MN.

She was born on May 30, 1937 the daughter of Russell and Ruby (Vaughn) Bartram in Springfield, MO. She married the love of her life, Carl Wiedle on December 9, 1962 in Salem and he survives in Shattuc. Mrs. Wiedle was preceded in death by both her parents, Russell and Ruby Bartram.
