Centralia Police arrested three on felony possession of drug charges on Friday.

33-year-old Cody Thompson of South Pine in Centralia was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic instrument, and illegal possession of a weapon by a felon.   Police say they were called to the 300 block of West Noleman to a report of a man under the influence of drugs.   They allegedly found a controlled substance and other drug equipment and a knife that lead to the weapons charge.

Two were arrested following a traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.   The driver, 26-year-old Richard Atchison, Junior of Odin, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.  A passenger, 21-year-old Juan Martinez of Old US 51 in Sandoval, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance when he was allegedly found in possession of a substance that contained heroin and fentanyl.

All three were taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on if charges will be filed by the State’s Attorney’s office.
