The 14u Illinois Force travel softball team including Salem standout Lilly Blagoue finished 3-2 for the weekend at the Rocket City Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama.
They opened with a 10-0 win over Germantown. Lilly worked 4 innings in the circle allowing 1 hit with 0 runs and 5 strikeouts in the win. They then lost to the Firecrackers National of Georgia 8-1. In the final game on Saturday, the Force fell to 1-2 with a 10-0 loss. Blagoue worked 1.1 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 earned run.
On Sunday, the Force nipped the Louisville Stunners 4-3. Blagoue was 2-2 with a run and RBI while doubling. She also worked 3 innings in the circle allowing 4 hits and 3 runs. The Force won their finale over the Louisiana Voodoo 7-5. Blagoue pitched 1 inning getting the save allowing 1 hits.
