Charles Justin Whipps, 39, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 8:55 pm October 12, 2020 in Mount Vernon. Justin worked as an electrician and was a small business owner for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, mostly hunting and fishing. Justin loved his family and friends, especially his canine friend, Lilly. He enjoyed taking her goose and duck hunting with him. Justin was dearly loved and will be missed.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:00 am at West Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Mr. Randy Sells officiating. Inurnment will follow. Memorials may be made in Justin’s honor to the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. Justin is survived by his mother, Fran (Badgett) Zedalis of Mount Vernon; father, Charles Edgar Whipps of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Trey Whipps of Mount Vernon; and brothers, J.B. Howell and wife, Michelle of Louisville, Kentucky and Steve Zedalis and wife, Nikki of Opdyke, Illinois.
