Braden Logan Tate, 10, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:27 pm October 9, 2020 at Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis, Missouri. Braden was a fifth grader at Rome Grade School. He lived life full throttle and wasn’t afraid of anything. Braden loved sports, the outdoors, music, and to sing and dance, especially rap. He was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Central Christian Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm with Mr. Doug Junkins and Mr. Tyler Tate officiating. Interment will follow at Richardson Hill Cemetery in Dahlgren, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Braden’s honor to the Tate Family, in care of Branson Tate. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. In addition to his parents, Braden is survived by his brother, Branson Tate of Mount Vernon, Illinois; grandparents, Allen and Michelle Tate of Mount Vernon, Illinois; great-grandparents, Lois Parks of Ashkum, Illinois, David and Lois Tate of Mount Vernon, Illinois, David and Faye Kirk of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Charla and Herb Haney of Ewing, Illinois; aunts and uncles, Samantha and Bryan Jones of Keenes, Illinois, Travis and Sierra Tate of Benton, Illinois, Amanda Haley of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Adam Tate of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and several great aunts and uncles, cousins, and close friends.
He was born June 18, 2010 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Jeremy and Nicole (Harlow) Tate. Braden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Sheri Harlow.
