The Salem Wildcat Cross Country teams ran at a tough Centralia Invitational Thursday afternoon in Foundation Park.
Leading the way for the girls was Jaedyn Goostree followed by Olivia Powless, Madison Smith and Autumn Butts. Haddon Lybarger led the boys in a time of 17:54. Alek Bandy, Rylan Crane , Creed Phillips and Zayne Trout rounded out the top five .
The Wildcats compete October 17th in the Cahokia Conference meet.
Overall Marion won the boys race with 29 points followed by Mt Vernon with 84 and then Carbondale, Mater Dei, Centralia with Salem 6th.
