Betty Jane Casada, 79, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 5:17 pm October 5, 2020 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Mrs. Casada owned and operated Mount Vernon Janitorial and was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church. Betty truly loved spending time with her family especially, her two grandchildren. She will be truly missed by those that knew her.
A Visitation will be held Friday, October 9, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM with Reverend Calvin Trotter officiating. Interment will follow at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Betty is survived by her sons, Douglas Allen Casada of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Dana Monroe Casada and wife, Jessica of Bluford, Illinois; grandson, Johnathan Douglas Casada of Bluford, Illinois; granddaughter, Hannah Jo Casada of Bluford, Illinois; sister, Wanda Terhune and husband, David of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brothers, Donald E Fuller, Sr. of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Robert E Fuller of Woodlawn, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was born January 15, 1941 in Jefferson County, Illinois to the late Fred and Lora Belle (Owens) Fuller. Betty married Wilbert Douglas Casada on December 4, 1965 in Carmi, Illinois. They were blessed with forty-three years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 22, 2009.
