Randy L. Mullinax, 66, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:00 pm on October 5, 2020, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Mullinax worked as a barber for over forty-five years. He was a member of Casey Avenue Baptist Church and currently served as a Deacon. Randy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. A Graveside Service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jerry Montgomery and Reverend Bill Miller officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Randy’s honor to the Casey Avenue Baptist Church. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. He was born August 17, 1954, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Charles Richard and Ione (McRill) Mullinax. Randy married Teresa (Davenport) Mullinax on October 15, 1975, in Saint Louis, Missouri.
In addition to his loving wife of nearly forty-five years, Randy is survived by his son, Brad Mullinax and wife, Haley of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Stacey Mullins and husband, Steve of Opdyke, Illinois; grandchildren, Landon Mullinax of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Tinley Mullinax of Mount Vernon, Illinois; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Mullinax and wife, Judy of Coppell, Texas, Don Mullinax and wife, Beverly of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Roger Mullinax of Indiana; sisters, Joyce Sartin of Creal Springs, Illinois, Donna Rogers and husband, Rob of South Roxanna, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
