A rear end crash on West Main at the southbound I-57 on/off ramp in Salem sent one of the drivers to the hospital late Sunday afternoon.
Salem Police say 88-year-old Betty Sisson of Mills Cart Road in Salem had stopped in traffic when she was hit in the rear by a car driven by 47-year-old Eric Moore of Springfield, Illinois. Both vehicles were eastbound at the time of the crash.
Sisson was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment. Moore and a passenger in his vehicle, 39-year-old Bradley Rheude of Springfield, both signed refusals for hospital treatment.
The crash occurred at 4:17 Sunday afternoon.
