Edith Elizabeth Sprehe, 82, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
Mrs. Sprehe was a devout Christian and a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in Hoyleton, Illinois.
Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Edith Sprehe with arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Hoyleton Cemetery in Hoyleton. Visitation time with the family will be held from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Thursday at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia where those in attendance will be asked to wear a mask and the number of people in the building at one time will not exceed 50. She was born the daughter of Virgil and Ella Baker on September 10, 1938, in Irvington, Illinois. She married Louis Sprehe, Jr. on February 14, 1956, in Hoyleton, Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2007.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephew, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; as well as her wonderful caregivers, best friend Casey, and all of her great friends at Plaza Verde Apartments.
