The SC 13u Storm Chasers swept their double header this weekend against the Illinois Black Sox winning the opener 14-0 and the night cap 15-5.
In the first game, Cody Beard doubled as part of his 2 hit day, Ian Jones added a triple and scored 3 runs. Hunter Horn drove in 4 with RBI also from Colton Rogers, Chase Guerrettaz and CJ Allison. Jones was the winning pitcher allowing 1 hit in 5 innings with 12 strikeouts and only 2 walks.
In the 2nd game blowout win, SC got triples from Horn and Jones and doubles from Beard, Braden Rector, Rogers and Trevan Sidwell. Brody Collier and Rector drove in 3 runs each, driving in 2 were Beard, Jones and Horn with RBI also from Rogers. On the mound, Guerrettaz worked 4.2 innings allowing 5 hits and 4 earned runs with 6 strikeouts. Cody Beard got the final out.
SC is 2-2 on the fall season.
