The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats look to finish their season unbeaten as they host Carmi this afternoon for the regional championship. Salem defeated Fairfield on Tuesday in the semifinal 12-1 to advance to the finals. First pitch this afternoon set for 4:15.
Also today in Class L, Centralia will play Carlyle for the regional title game.
In Class S, Selmaville advanced to the regional finals with an 11-1 win over Iuka. Natalie Lee had 3 hits and 2 RBI for the Lady Rockets. Jaile Cain, Lauren Burge, Kale Benjamin and Lauryn Mascareno added hits. Burge picked up the win allowing 1 hit and striking out 14 with no walks. Selmaville will play Willow Grove in the finals this afternoon at 4:30.
Willow Grove/ St Mary’s Centralia advanced to the regional championship with a 12-11 win over Patoka. Maddy Francois went 7 innings striking out 13 in the win. Kylie Nalewajka led the offense with 3 hits including a double, triple and the walk off hit to end the game while driving in 3 runs. Olivia Neudecker added 2 hits and 3 runs scored, Emrie Quick had a hit and 2 runs with 3 stolen bases and Mackenzie Perez and Francois added hits with 2 runs scored.
