Randolph Teel Martin “RTM”, 71, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 10:44 am June 1, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Randy is known locally for his experience and success in the Insurance industry as the previous owner of Guy Wood Insurance, and most recently a (semi-retired) sales executive at Diamond Brothers Insurance. Randy was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church. He attended his last (in-person) service at Logan Street on Sunday, May 31st with his niece and nephews, who witnessed him singing Great Is Thy Faithfulness with all of his heart. Randy absolutely loved singing and dancing, from his younger years in the Ivy Five High School band to the Logan Street Choir – he’s been singing ever since. Randy truly enjoyed his time with friends and family on the golf course, and at the clubhouse. He also loved traveling to Florida in the winter to visit his grandbabies, and play golf. His humor, dry wit, and loving heart were known by all and will be terribly missed. Randy was an extremely loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Logan Street Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm with Reverend Allen Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Randy’s honor to the Children Youth Ministries at Logan Street Baptist Church. Please remember to observe social distancing at this time. Following the CDC and NFDA regulations, we encourage everyone who has not been vaccinated to wear a mask. They will be made available, upon request.
