Joseph Prosise, 81, of Hoffman, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Joseph enjoyed fishing. He was an avid photographer and was in the Light and Lense Club in the Centralia Cultural Society. He was also a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Centralia. He will be missed by his friends and family.
A Funeral Service for Joseph Prosise will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Joseph is survived by his son: Curtis Prosise of Wichita, KS; one daughter: Dianna Casey and husband Robert Mathis of Waltonville; two grandchildren: Devan Franklin and fiancé Alex Martin of O’Fallon and Rachel Mathis of Waltonville; and one special friend Cody Peterson of Centralia.
He was born December 30, 1939 in Centralia, the son of Donald Prosise and Evelyn (Stephens) Prosise. Joseph married Peggy Newhouse on December 19, 1959 and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2011. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Prosise; his parents: Donald and Evelyn Prosise; and brother: William Steven Beuthien.
