2021 03/10 – William David Miller

William David Miller, 77, of Centralia passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, March 6, 2021 in his home. David was an avid racing fan. He was a die hard Dale Earnhardt fan. He was a character and the family will take comfort in remembering all his wild shenanigans and sharing his stories for generations to come.

Per David Miller’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to help with expenses with check payable to Linda Miller and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Miller Family. In addition to his wife of 42 years Linda Miller, he is survived by six children: Jaclynn Miller of Centralia, Robin Burton and husband Dale of Centralia, Steve Higgins and wife Jeanne of Glenridge, Julie Lowe and husband Corey of Salem, Darren Miller of Centralia, and Nikki Miller of Mt. Vernon; one brother: Ronald Gale Miller of Centralia; one sister: Shirley Ann Kavanaugh of Centralia; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David was born February 6, 1944 in Centralia, the son of Chester “Chet” Miller and Cleo Faye (Jarvis) Miller. He married Linda (Noller) Miller on December 30, 1978 and she survives him in Centralia. David was preceded in death by his parents: Chester and Cleo Miller, two sons: David Allen Miller and Michael Shane Miller, one grandson: Blake Miller; and one great-granddaughter: Autumn Gibson.
