A tractor and RV were destroyed by fire Monday night on the Brian Gertner property at 16737 East Sheila Road east of Mt. Vernon.
Jefferson Fire reports that the tractor had been worked on earlier. When residents looked out later, the tractor was fully engulfed in flames, and the fire had spread to a nearby RV.
Firemen received the call at 7:15 Monday night and were on the scene an hour and 15 minutes. Jefferson Fire requested no mutual aid. There were no injuries.
